A Fine Winter's Day

Yesterday was such a beautiful day we went for a long walk in the sunshine. My sympathies to those in Eastern Canada where the temperature is not so Spring like. This is the scene behind our house.

I'm trying an experiment to see if I can add text between photos. After I returned home from  our walk I made this card as an exchange with a fellow stamper over at Splitcoast Stampers for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge. I used a "Stamps Happen" image, coloured with copics, and added a spot of glitter to the whitecaps.

My attempt failed, so now I am leaving a blank slot to put the photo in. Hopefully I can go back to add in the photo. If not I'll add the card I made in a follow up post all by itself.

Valentine Entry

Day 2: I'm back, determined to fix a couple of mistakes I made yesterday. At least this post will have the title and content in the same post! A few dozen roses and armed with my trusty glue gun later I have 2 topiaries and a wreath ready to brighten my doorway through February. The rose balls are 2 styrofoam balls spray painted red and covered in roses, the wreath is a styrofoam disc wrapped in red satin ribbon with the roses glued in place. The roses are made of some weird but waterproof vinyl that has the consistence of heavy paper, oh the crafting materials you can find in the $ store.

The Launch

This is my very first post so I want it to be about something important in my life. Our dog Kodi rules the household. He is allowed to do most anything he wants. It is a long standing joke in our house that when the kids graduated from university they would point out to friends that "THE DOG" had a commissioned portrait done of him hanging in the living room yet even though they had graduated from university (one from law and the other with an MBA) and paid for their own photos and they didn't even rank a frame and a spot on the mantle! I am posting 3 photos of Kodi, 2 in his new

raincoat.
